After graduating with a 1st Class Honours degree in Psychology from the University of Cambridge, I trained as a teacher (Primary), before gaining a higher degree (MSc) in Educational Psychology from University College London.
I then worked as an educational psychologist (EP) for 7 years in the London Borough of Sutton, and as a private educational psychologist for just under 2 years.
I am now a specialist teacher, blending educational psychology and teaching.
MSc (Ed Psych), PGCE
Having worked as an educational psychologist where I assessed children for statements of special educational needs (SEN) and having practised as a specialist teacher in a school environment, I have come to understand that intervening with 1:1 tailored teaching is the most effective way of helping a child reach their potential.
This combination of psychology and teaching can support your child in developing independent learning skills and building their self-esteem and confidence.
